Yashwantrao Mohite Krishna Cooperative Sugar Factory Ltd.Rethare Bk. decided to come to develop command area of Sugar factory in general and its members in particular. Since, major source of the income in the vicinity of factory is agriculture, the formation of agriculture vocation through establishing educational institute had paramount importance. In view of this the factory submitted a proposal to the Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri District- Ahmednagar to seek permission from the Govt. of Maharashtra and University recognition.
